Content Marketing - Fundraising and Brand Awareness

In the spring of 2020, Sidwell Friends’ operations were disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to the cancellation of all events, including the highly anticipated annual fundraising gala. In response, our team developed a virtual fundraising event to raise $250,000 for the school’s annual fund, which primarily supports student financial aid. Given the economic impact of the pandemic, our success was crucial to meeting the growing financial needs of the school.

I was tasked with creating multimedia assets to generate support for the campaign. These included a flagship video for our donation webpage and social media accounts, a campaign teaser for email communications and social platforms, and supplemental GIF animations for email and social media posts.

Using a combination of video footage captured throughout the year and motion graphics, I crafted pieces that conveyed positive energy and hope.

The campaign was a resounding success. We not only met but significantly exceeded our expectations, raising over $438,000.
